Concussion Case Study and Hands-on Learning

By reviewing the case study, “Concussion Treatment Using Massage Techniques: A Case Study” (IJTMB) and by understanding rationale and treatment techniques used, practitioners will be able to encourage the anatomical restoration of imbalances of the cranium and cervical components which were the result of trauma in falls, accidents and sport injuries. This understanding allows for a transfer of principles from case to case.

1) Recognize and identify biomechanical effects of the trauma to the cranial/cervical areas

2)  Recognize the landmarks and gentle techniques needed for treatment

3)  Create a personalized plan for balancing anatomical features in the area.
