Presentation by David Fluecke at Colloquium 2018

At several of the past Colloquiums, David's presentations were often one of the highlights of the conference. His wisdom, insight, and ability to relate to his experience is nothing short of exceptional. David's topic this year is near and dear to me personally and one which all good therapists struggle.

"Practicing with confidence, dealing with uncertainty".

Here is what David had to say about his thoughtful presentation.

"I feel like I've gone through my own epistemological crisis regarding our work and have come out the other side. We all need to deal with this aspect of not knowing whether or not the research (or what our seminar instructor has told us) has anything to do with the person on our table or what we're going to do to them,  and reconcile it in some way. Research can help us but it cannot be a SOURCE of confidence."

There is a saying- "Education helps you to know what to do, when you don't know what to do."

I am sure David's program will challenge and inspire you. Don't miss it.
