Precision Neuromuscular Therapy TMJ Intensive Seminar

Cost- $295 Two days- 9AM-5PM each day (14 Continuing Education Hours) Review Rate: $175

In this PNMT Focus series seminar, you will spend two days immersed in the function of the temporomandibular joint. Estimates vary, but most research says that about 2% of the population will struggle with TMD, temporomandibular dysfunction.

This is a wonderful area of specialization for the manual therapist, so few options are normally available. Here is an overview of what we will cover. . . The first morning is spent with the mechanics of the TMJ. While they are extremely complex, the software and presentation you will see will make this truly comprehensible. You will see analysis and video that few dentist have seen, and understand how soft tissue can play a major role in TMD.

Next, you will learn a screening procedure to assess what the possible TMD issues are, including when to refer and who to refer to. We will measure ROM of the jaw and uncover the meaning of each restriction.

You will learn a great myofascial approach to TMD, then very precise external treatment. Lastly, the focus will be on intraoral treatment. When finished, you will feel confident about the anatomy and your ability to palpate it.

There are many myths and fallacies out there regarding TMJ. The info you will learn is rock-solid and evidence based. The research is there to support what we teach. In many cases, we did the research. In others, the research is the same literature that your orthodontist or dentist has access to. The difference is that you will use manual techniques to treat TMD, doing it better, faster, and cheaper then just about any other approach. If you are intrigued by TMD, or want to jumpstart your practice, this seminar is for you!
